SAMP inaugurates plant in China

The grand opening ceremony of the new SAMP Shanghai plant in Malu Town, which took place on September 26, 2012, was a very successful event and marked an important milestone in the company's history. The ceremony welcomed over 200 guests from 20 different countries into the brand new building, designed for the manufacturing of machinery and equipment for the wire and cable industry.

The decision to further strengthen SAMP's presence in China by investing in a new state-of-the-art production unit to efficiently and safely produce high-quality machinery and equipment was taken in 2011, after almost 12 years of direct and successful presence in Shanghai. With its 4,500 sq metres' property, of which over 3,800 sq metres is dedicated to the workshop, SAMP Shanghai has almost doubled its original size.

Speaking on the occasion, Dominique Perroud, Managing Director, SAMP Shanghai, said, "In recent years, SAMP has experienced an exceptional period of development in China, thanks to our customers' continuous trust and the hard work of our employees, their dedication and expertise. Today, a large and absolutely avant-garde production plant brings in a new phase of growth," he said.
