Vision statement
To be the most valued, critical resource for the global wire and cable industry.

Organization
The Wire Association International (WAI), Inc., founded in 1930, is a worldwide technical society for wire and cable industry professionals that is governed by volunteers from around the world. Based in Guilford, Connecticut, USA, WAI promotes, collects, and disseminates technical, manufacturing, and general business information to the ferrous, nonferrous, electrical, fiber optic, and fastener segments of the wire and cable industry.

To accomplish these objectives WAI sponsors exhibitions such as Interwire and Wire Expo, international technical conferences, educational workshops, courses and career development programs through the year. Our publications and technical products include Wire Journal International, the industry’s leading monthly trade journal; The WAI Connection—a monthly e-newsletter for WAI members; the annual WJI Reference Guide; as well as a host of technical handbooks, reports and videotapes. WAI members are represented in more than 70 countries around the world.
