Eldan Recycling installs cable recycling system in Italy

Denmark's Eldan Recycling reports that it has installed a new cable granulation and separation plant at an existing Eldan Recycling customer facility in Italy.

A press release said that the new plant is designed to process about four metric tons of mixed cables per hour. The system, it said, valued at about US$1.35 million, includes a multi-purpose rasper (MPR160), heavy granulator (HG169), a fine granulator (FG1504), separation table (C22) and classifier (PC12). The individual machines, it said, can be adjusted for various types of dry cables such as hair-wire, harness-wire, communication wire, etc.

"We are very proud of our returning customers that continue to choose us year after year," says Flemming Hansen, Eldan product manager for cable and WEEE. "Many of them have had our machinery running for up to several decades. The durability of our machinery is certainly one of our trademarks."

The company notes that it has installed more than 830 complete plants and 7,100 single machines in more than 60 countries.
