Diamond is one of the newest engineering materials on the market. Wire mills have used diamond wire dies for a number of years; however, synthetic diamond is relatively young (discovered 60 years ago) as an engineering material. Joe Memmott of US Synthetic Wire Die shows how diamond's unique properties make it an extremely important material for companies across multiple industries that are looking to increase revenue and lower costs.
