The Wire Association International, Inc., founded in 1930, is a worldwide technical society for wire and cable industry professionals dedicated to the promotion, collection, and dissemination of technical, manufacturing, and general business information and trends in the industry. Throughout the year WAI organizes events such as Interwire and the WAI Operations Summit & Wire Expo trade shows, technical workshops and symposiums, an online trade show, and annual International Technical Conference. Its publications and technical products include Wire Journal International (WJI) and the annual WJI Reference Guide as well as a host of technical handbooks, webinars, and DVDs.

The Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) will hold AISTech 2014 – the Iron &
Steel Technology Conference and Exposition in the Indiana Convention Center 5-8 May, 2014. Two sessions of AISTech 2014, the Metallurgy of Wire Rod, will be held jointly by AIST and WAI. These two sessions will be open for technical conference registrants of both AISTech and WAI.
Also, the exhibit halls of AISTech 2014 and the Wire Expo 2014 will be open to registered attendees of both conferences.
