we have just completed the Wire Expo in Cleveland.
Would you rate the show a success?

I viewed the show as a success. There seems to have been more visitors on the floor than last Expo and customers were discussing projects again. In my opinion, it showed some life coming back into the industry.

Success in that there was ample opportunity to visit w/ potential suppliers, which there was a wide variety and number of them available. In talking w/ some of the vendors, there was feeling that not too many participants on Monday or Wednesday, but Tuesday was more better for them. For me, it was positive to meet and discuss some issues with the vendors, while gathering information. Weather, local food, and people were all quite good too. Very impressed w/ downtown and water-front Cleveland - beautiful buildings, along w/ open spaces.

The show traffic exceeded our expectations. We are hopeful that the recent positive business trend will continue. The Business Tracks were a nice addition.
The technical sessions we attended had decent participation. The Opening Reception, once again, was a very nice event. The Sheraton was a tired hotel.

I considered the show as successful. There were a good number of people walking the show floor most of the time. BUT there were very notable absences. Both suppliers and producers were upbeat.
