Does any one have any calc or research to show the of what the skin effect is in stranded wire? I suspect that because each strand is slightly oxidized that it may be slightly deeper then the normal depth of penetration at a given frequency for AC, but not the total cross section as would be for litz wire...any comment would be greatly valued,

Could you be a little more specific about the stranded conductors you are interested in re skin effect?
A) - Large Conductor Power Cable - Concentrically Stranded or to the standard Milliken design.

- Concentrically Stranded Conductor Audio Cable to say 20 kHz.

C) - Data Cables with concentrically stranded conductors.

D) - Radio Frequency Cables with concentrically stranded inner conductors.

E) - Other, please elaborate.
