Experts on galvanising, I have for a very long time considered if there are ways to monitor galv wire while in production.
On our galv line the inspector takes a 500mm sample when a former of wire is full, and carries out tests on coatweight, tensile, diameter, elongation, precce, there are others but thses are the main ones. Once he tests the 500mm piece of wire for all mentioned above, he either passes or fails based on that 500mm peice of wire. My concern is that there is wire on a carrier weighing around 600kg.
Could we monitor for diameter, coatweight, tensile, elongation and precce, while wire is in operation. Or are there more logical ways of ensuring that the 600kg of wire is prime, without compromising our customers quality.
I look for forward to any response.
