Here is the reply I received from The American Wire Cloth Institute"

"Thank you for your interest in the American Wire Cloth Institute (AWCI). Unfortunately, the question posed by Mohammed Vasi can not be simply answered. For the most part, equipment manufacturers specify filter media for their equipment based on design and production requirements. Screen manufacturers can suggest alternative products to address certain production or service issues, but there is really not enough information included below to hazard an informed recommendation.
Screen specifications are available at
www.wirecloth.com - including a calculator to compare opening, wire diameter, and open area relationships.
In general, woven wire cloth can offer more throughput than perforated materials of similar opening size, but beyond that, we would need the rotary screen manufacturer, make and model identification, specifications of the perforated material now in use, specifications and design of any support media, characteristics of the compost material, and proposed or desired characteristics of the filtrate. With this information, we may be able to make some suggestions. It may also be a good idea to contact the equipment manufacturer for their opinion.
Thank you for your consideration.
Larry Schrader, President
American Wire Cloth Institute
