TOPIC: Hardness Variation

Hardness Variation 3 months, 2 weeks ago #2700

Dear friends
I am R&D manager of ALFA factory.
We produce spring wire.
We have induction furnace for heat treatment.
My question is : If i have variation Hardness in spring wire, what happens may accrue in spring?

Re: Hardness Variation 3 months, 1 week ago #2701

With the information sent, it is hard to know the problem. Of course it is a priority to be sure that the springs get uniform heat in the induction furnace and also uniform cooling after heating. If not, that can be the reason for non-uniform hardness.
