Hello again tuburubu,

Thank you for your response and information although the information on SMS/Hazelett (SMS Demag AG in Germany www.sms-demag.de/de/index_en.html ) may be just a little bit too much. We were not aware that this line was as yet to be started.

We were forced to edit your other posting ( www.wirenet.org/forum/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=12&Topic=437 ) because you provided far too much information about kishor's location and country and, by inference, company.

WE also believed that all that REX had to do was quite simply ask the supplier for his recommendation, not to supply the instrument. I couldn't think anything easier for REX to do.

As far as knowing your location and company is concerned, that certainly was not meant to be threatening to you so if you took it that way, we apologize. We always look at the IP numbers because we often tailor our response to the writer's location in the world. In your case, your company has it's own servers so we could see that information. To us that meant that we were well aware that you knew what you were talking about. That is the whole story.

By the way we answered a like of kind question in the Supplies and Equipment section on August 15, 2005. See www.wirenet.org/forum/viewmessages.cfm?Forum=14&Topic=155 At that time we suggested they contact Land Instruments International at www.landinst.com/infrared/products/porta...ermometers/index.htm That is where the information on the Land Cyclops family of portable infrared thermometers is located. We did not see a Cyclops model 153. Perhaps you will recommend one the units they presently show on their web site. Moreover, it would be great if you added information to other threads dealing with rod mill technology, drawing, rolling and other wire and cable issues.

Sincerely,

Hello vettecoupe,

No offense taken.

I would like to be more helpful and I will check the forums more often to see the topics and to share /or give some ideas.
At the bottom of that page you posted it's written that Land cyclops 153 and other Land pyrometers were replaced by the new model 100.

Best regards
