• September 25 , 2008 - 7th Annual WAI Mid-South Chapter Golf Tournament

The WAI Mid-South Chapter held its annual tournament at a new venue in Florence, Alabama. The Shoals "Fighting Joe" links style course, part of the Robert Trent Jones Trail, was the new location.

• October 19, 2007 - 6th Annual WAI Mid-South Chapter Golf Tournament

The WAI Mid-South Chapter held its 6th Annual Golf Tournamentis at the Hermitage Golf Course near Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, October 19, 2007. Playing the President's Reserve course, the Quad Cities Electric Motors foursome of Truitt Smith, Kevin “Goose” Thompson, Randy Burroughs and Dale Nesbett took the top team prize with a 14-under par 58. The second place team came in a very respectable 9-under 63, and consisted of Mid-South Packaging Inc’s Randy Rosser and David Bates along with Southwire’s Dale Price and Barry Redding.

• September 19, 2007 - Twin Tours at Talladega

The WAI Mid-South Chapter went to Talladega, Alabama on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, for a special day of wire and wheels. The program started with a tour of the Talladega Machinery & Supply Company (TMS) facility that included a networking lunch for attendees. Following lunch, attendees went to Talladega Superspeedway for a tour of the International Motor Sports Hall of Fame museum and the famed racetrack.
