• June 15, 2007- Fifth Annual WAI Midwest Chapter Golf Tournament is set to return to the St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois. Team and individual prizes will be awarded, and greens fees, cart, lunch and awards reception and dinner are all included. Sponsorships are also available for companies looking to gain additional exposure. Recent programs:

• June 16, 2006- Fourth Annual WAI Midwest Chapter Golf Tournament was held at the St. Andrews Golf and Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois. The low scoring team, at 8-under par, was made up of John Dabbelt, Dave Therkildsen, Horace Pops and Carl Calabrese took top team honors, followed by Dane Armendariz, Mike Brewer, Dick Culp and Mike Maalwitz at 6-under.

• April 20, 2006 - "Advances in Ferrous Wire and Rod Production " was the topic of the WAI Midwest Chapter's dinner meeting held in East Chicago, Indiana, in conjunction with the Ferrous Wire Technology Road Show Workshop hosted by Mittal Steel USA. The event featured Dr. Richard Sussman, general manager of the Mittal Steel USA Research Center discussing the technical progress taking place in the production of steel rod and wire.

• October 24, 2005 - "Economic Outlook - A Short-term Perspective" was the topic of the WAI Midwest Chapter's dinner meeting held at the historic Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum. The event included a tour of the museum, and featured Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Associate Professor of Economics Dr. George Bullion.

• June 17, 2005 - Third Annual WAI Midwest Chapter Golf Tournament returned to the St. Andrews Golf & Country Club in West Chicago, Illinois, featuring a scramble format with team and individual prizes, lunch, dinner and a chance at winning $10,000 for a hole-in-one. Chapter President John Dabbelt noted the tourney was the best one yet!
