Banner Advertisements

Banner advertisement positions are available throughout WAI’s web site and on its Virtual Trade Show (VTS) pages giving visitors instant exposure to your marketing message.

Standard banner ads:
Three standard banner ad positions are offered each month, totaling 36 positions annually. Banners are positioned at the top, right corner of each page and are rotated among the three advertisers that have purchased those positions.

The Virtual Trade Show pages house square banner and product banner ads as outlined below.

Square banner ads:
Three square banner ads are offered monthly on the opening page of the Virtual Trade Show. Ads are stacked along the right-hand side of the page.

Product banner ads:
Product banner ads are offered within the “search result” pages of the Virtual Trade Show. The search function is powered by the Wire Journal International Reference Guide records, and as such, opens a host of promotional opportunities for product- specific ads.

Campaign management:

WAI tracks viewing habits of the visitors to its web site. Reports will be provided to advertisers, upon request, for a given time frame. Note: All ads are posted at the beginning of the month for one-month blocks of time. Ads can be linked to the advertiser’s web site, a PDF or email address.

Specifications:

Banners must be supplied in an electronic format and must comply with the following specifications, otherwise production charges—billed at $60 per hour—may apply. WAI accepts GIF, JPEG, and Flash files.

The following banner ad dimensions apply and are in keeping with standard sizes set forth by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and the Coalition for Advertising Supported Information Entertainment (CASIE).

On the wirenet.org site the 468 x 60 pixel ad is referred to as a "standard banner ad."

The 125 x 125 pixel dimension is used on the wirenet.org site for both the "square banner" and "product banner" ads.
