Hundreds of wire and cable manufacturers and suppliers to the industry participate at WAI’s annual trade exhibitions to promote their products and services. WAI’s Interwire event, which began in 1981, has been held every other year since its inception. Interwire is the largest event of its kind in the Americas, drawing exhibitors and attendees from around the world. WAI’s Wire Expo event—held every other year on the even years—is more of a regionally based show, and will typically be hosted in one of the Rust Belt states. Exhibitors benefit from exposure to attendees from select industry segments in specific geographic locations. Some of the past Wire Expo events have been held in Chicago, Illinois; Nashville, Tennessee; Cleveland, Ohio; Charlotte, North Carolina; Detroit, Michigan; Louisville, Kentucky; and Boston, Massachusetts.
