Hi All,
We are facing surface quality problem on our wire rod where some fine flaw found after coiling. From the cross section analysis, the flaw is continue till the center. I supposed that it may cause by blow hole but I have no evidence to say that as I didn't found any blow hole when I cut my cast bar. Any one can help to explain the relationship between the change of combustion vs blow hole?
Regards
Berman

Hello again Berman,
I don't have the information you are looking for but perhaps the manufacturer of your continuous cast line will have that information. I suggest you go there first and see what you can find out because a specific answer here may take an extended period of time.
Moreover I could not find anything specific in the Wire Association abstract search of presented technical papers.
