Ceramic Coating

1) Applied to winding wires where stability at high temperatures requires that conductors have an oxidation resistance superior to that obtainable by an organic coating. After the ceramic coating has been applied, the wires are completed by an additional layer of silicone or polyamide resin applied to the surface. 2) A surface layer of hard ceramic material, usually applied by plasma spray, for wear-resistance.
