Terminating Cable

A multi-paired cable used in the telephone (communications) exchange for connecting the outside cable to the main distributing frame. Sometimes referred to as Tip Cable. It is a special cable primarily intended and designed for terminating area cables on protective frames in central offices where sealed chamber terminals are not required. The cable insulation in these cases is usually plastic, pulp and paper ribbon insulated.
